FAQ
What can I expect from a therapy session?
Therapy sessions are 45 minutes in length. In our first few sessions, I will be trying to get to know you and the nature of your dilemma. Usually, we will meet once each week, until the issue is resolved.
What can I expect from working with Dr. Ehman?
You can expect to find a warm, compassionate and understanding environment where you will be heard and respected. I welcome your feedback about what you believe will help you most.
Do you provide pre-marital counseling?
Yes, I have a specially designed pre-marital counseling package, which includes a relationship test and six sessions of couples therapy. These private sessions are invaluable in identifying current and future trouble areas and learning new ways to communicate with one another.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept most forms of insurance. You can check with your provider to see if I am on their preferred provider list. If I am not part of their preferred list, you may still be able to receive benefits. Most insurance providers will provide partial payment for out-of-network service providers. My office will file the necessary paperwork with your insurance and, in most cases, you will only be required to cover the co-pay and deductible. Alternately, you may also choose to pay cash. We will discuss the session rate when you call to schedule your appointment.
What are your payment procedures?
Co-pay is due at the time of the session. Only cash or checks are accepted, no credit cards. Please give 24 hours of notice for a rescheduled or canceled appointment. The failure to show for an appointment will result in a full fee charged.
